All new biology school
We offer a wide choice of undergraduate and postgraduate (MSc and PhD) programmes allowing our students the flexibility to maintain breadth, or to concentrate on particular aspects of biology. 
First-class academic facilities and resources are available to all our students. Including access to a field station, botanical gardens, two farms, a food laboratory and close links with the Newcastle Institute for Science as well as the Institute of Biology .
In biology we carry out interdisciplinary research and enjoy an international and national reputation, achieving a rating of 5 in the last Research Assessment Exercise.
